St. Lambert church

Once upon a time dependent on the abbey of Floreffe, St. Lambert church is a Roman-style complex dating back to the early 13th century but completed in the 18th century. The side tower can be used to reach the older steeple. The very elemental interior was reorganised in 1962-63 and adorned with a stained glass window by the painter L.M. Londot. It features one or two splendid wooden statues, including an impressive 17th century Christ and the effigy of Our Lady Corroy which arrived a lot later on. The choir features the tombstone (remnant of a monument destroyed during the French Revolution) of Alexis de Nassau, lord of Corroy (about 1506-1550) and his wife Wilhelmine de Bronckhorst-Batemburg.
