Constitution
Pursuant to a Royal Decree on 17 September 1975 the municipalities of GEMBLOUX (GEMBLOUX, LONZEE, GRAND-MANIL, SAUVENIERE, ERNAGE), BEUZET, BOSSIERE, BOTHEY, CORROY-LE-CASTLE, GRAND-LEEZ, LES ISNES and MAZY were merged to create a new municipality bearing the name of GEMBLOUX-SUR-ORNEAU.
The Law of 30 July 1979, amending the name of the Municipality of GEMBLOUX-SUR-ORNEAU, amended article 464, at the end of paragraph 1 and in paragraph 2, first line of the aforementioned Royal Decree, as a result of replacing the name " GEMBLOUX-SUR-ORNEAU "with the name " GEMBLOUX ". The Law of 5 June 1998 authorised the Municipality of Gembloux to call itself a Town.
