The transcript of the approval of the adoption is undertaken :
• residence of the adopters
• if not a residence in Belgium : the residence of the adopteee
• if not the residence of the adopter and the adoptee : City of Brussels district 1.

age condition :
be at last 25 years of age and 15 years older than the adoptee
A child over 12 years of age has to agree to be adopted unless the child is placed in tutelage or has the status of extended minority.
The spouse or cohabitant of the adopter has to agree to the adoption if the person is married and not judicially separated or cohabitant.
