Organ donation
For some patients suffering from an illness that has reached a terminal stage, an organ donation offers the sole chance of survival. In many cases patients on a waiting list die because no organs are available.
It is crucial for organ donors to be included in the national register, as this maximises the chances of saving a life. This procedure unquestionably demonstrates the deceased person's wishes and avoids the family having to take responsibility for making a difficult decision in very distressing circumstances.
If you want to perform a charitable act of benefit to the community: express your willingness to be a organ donor; the population department offices are open every morning from 8.45 to 11.45 am as well as Wednesday afternoon from 1.45 to 4.00 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon.
Thank you sincerely in advance for your generosity.
